​IFG Companies Announces New Assistant Managing Director of Inland Marine,        
Jason M. Wexler

IRVINE, CA - IFG Companies has announced that Jason M. Wexler has joined as an Assistant Managing Director – Inland Marine within its Brokerage Property Division. Jason comes to IFG with almost a decade of underwriting, marketing and process improvement experience primarily relating to marine and property coverages. Jason will be based in IFG's Irvine, California office.

"As we deepen our Inland Marine capabilities within IFG's Brokerage Property Division, we are very pleased to have Jason join us. With his Six Sigma Black Belt and marine underwriting experience, he brings a combination of skills that will serve the build-out of our Inland Marine unit well, particularly relating to analytics, process design and improvement, and underwriting discipline," said Bob Linton, Chairman of IFG Companies.

In 2006, Jason began his underwriting career as a commercial marine underwriter at The Hartford Financial Service Group. Two years later, he led process improvement projects within The Hartford, utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to measure, analyze and improve business processes. Subsequently, Jason became a Senior Marine and Property Underwriter for The Hartford's middle market segment in New York City. In 2010, Jason moved to Aspen Specialty Insurance Company where he joined a team that was developing a new marine underwriting unit for that firm. He was promoted to Assistant Vice President and built out territories in the North East and West Coast. In 2013, Jason was recruited to Colony Specialty Insurance Company, where he assisted in the building of a new Inland Marine department, managing the west coast territory, and developing direct reports. Throughout his underwriting career, he consistently outperformed new business objectives, expanded new territories and product lines while maintaining underwriting discipline in the standard and excess lines market place.

Jason holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan and a Master of Science degree in Management and Information Systems from New York University, where he concentrated on corporate strategy and leadership. He is a member of the Inland Marine Underwriter Association (IMUA), Marine Underwriters of Southern California (MUSC), California Insurance Professionals (CAIP), and NAPSLO Committee member.
