​R. Todd Wickliffe Joins as Managing Director for Property

ATLANTA, GA - IFG Companies has announced that R. Todd Wickliffe has joined as a Managing Director in its Brokerage Property Division.  Todd brings more than 27 years of property and inland marine underwriting experience to IFG Companies.  He will be based in IFG's Atlanta-area office.

"We are delighted to have Todd join our Property underwriting team in Atlanta.  His extensive background in property underwriting and controls, staff development and producer relations align extremely well with the planned evolution of our Property business," said Bob Linton, Chairman of IFG Companies.

Todd worked most of his career to date at General Star Management Company, where he spent approximately fifteen years working in its property department.  In that role, Todd was responsible for developing and maintaining new and renewal brokerage property business within the southeastern United States and Texas.  While at General Star, Todd developed business plans for assigned brokers, managed the profitability of his book and worked closely with product line management to design and implement new property products.  Todd was also involved in training and mentoring new underwriters and trainees in General Star's branch structure.  Prior to working in General Star's property unit, Todd was a multi-line underwriter for almost ten years at General Star and other carriers.  Most recently, Todd worked at Colony Specialty as a Vice President and Property Manager for its Atlanta office, where his responsibilities included managing a profitable book of business, controlling exposure aggregates, developing new products and referral underwriting for its property division.   

Todd holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a major in Economics, from the University of Virginia.  He has earned the CPCU designation and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the foundation of Wesley Woods.
