IFG Companies Announces New Managing Director – Submit, Steven M. Mills            

ATLANTA, GA -IFG Companies has announced that Steven M. Mills has joined as Managing Director – Submit.  In this capacity, Steve will be a member of the Submit Leadership Team that continues to build out brokerage capabilities primarily for property and liability risks below $50,000 in annual premium, particularly those in conjunction with IFG's Binding Authority Producers.  Steve will be based in IFG's Atlanta office.

Steve joins IFG after thirteen years with American International Group where, most recently, he served as a Regional Casualty Executive for the Great Lakes Region.  In this role, Steve led the execution of both short and long-term strategic initiatives for this region.  Previously, Steve served as Vice President/Public Entity Industry Practice Leader where he had product line management responsibility for the Lexington Insurance Public Entity Casualty portfolio.  Steve has also held a number of other underwriting and field leadership roles during his time at AIG.  Prior to AIG, Steve worked at CNA Re where he was a casualty facultative underwriter.  Steve began his career as an underwriter for Continental Insurance Companies and also worked for Liberty Mutual and Citizens Insurance Company.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from The Ohio State University, where he majored in Finance, Risk Management and Insurance.
